We established the Creekwalker Poetry Prize in 2007 after publishing the work of veteran and novice poets for many years.  The poetry of
Diana Woodcock, our inaugural winner, captured in theme and tone the quality of work for which we created the Prize.  Other winners include
Regina Murray Brault (2008) and our 2009 Creekwalker Poetry Prize Winner Faye Williams Jones.

Our contest is international in scope, is not limited by subject matter and accepts previously published, unrestricted poetry.

Patricia Wellingham-Jones, Ph.D. and Ellaraine Lockie served as judges for our 2009 Poetry Prize.  Ms. Wellingham-Jones and Ms. Lockie
are accomplished writers and poets whose artistic sensibilities have been honed by years of writing, publishing and teaching.  Both have
been nominated for Pushcart Prizes and Ms. Lockie was a Finalist for the 2007 Creekwalker Poetry Prize.
